| The
Website

TheThamesBoathouse.com was designed and created by
HanTAG Solutions.
The site was originally called "housesoftheholy.co.uk",
after the 1973 Led Zeppelin album, to reflect the connection
the Boathouse had with the band. However it was later changed
to "TheThamesBoathouse.com" just prior to the site
being published on the net, as it was felt that the name was
more appropriate to both prospective purchasers and Zeppelin
audiences.
The site itself has two purposes. Primarily to promote the
sale of the property and secondly to allow avid Led Zeppelin
fans the opportunity to take a peek at the home, once owned
by Jimmy Page.
The riverside property began as a Boathouse with wet dock
and offices, belonging to Hobbs of Henley. It's sole purpose
was the hiring and maintaining of boats on the Thames and
it remained active until 1959 when the property was converted
into a dwelling.
Since then the property has been owned by various people including
Jimmy Page from 1967-1973, during which time he formed the
band
Led Zeppelin.
Further conversions of the property have taken place since
and the basement, where the wet dock once existed, now hosts
a fully heated indoor swimming pool.
For further details about the sale please email your enquires
